New Jersey welder seriously injured by explosion

A construction worker was seriously injured earlier this month while working on a welding project at the Verizon Wireless data center in Carteret, NJ.

The worker had been welding when a sudden explosion blew the doors of his pickup truck off their hinges. The doors subsequently crashed into the worker. The worker was rushed to the trauma center of the University Hospital in Newark for treatment. No one else was injured in the accident. The cause of the explosion is still unknown.
