Gas station explosion kills one man

Posted on April 5th, 2010 No Comments

A gas station explosion in a small town in Virgina left one man dead.

An underground gasoline storage tank somehow ignited and killed a man while he was trying to remove the tank. Fire officials say the man and another man were using a front-end loader and an excavator to remove two storage tanks. The powerful explosion threw the man over 100 feet from the site. Officials believe that the man was standing right over the tank when it exploded.
