Employee killed in steel plant explosion

An employee at Vitaulic Plant in Pennsylvania was killed in a furnace explosion at the plant.

According to officials, a vessel containing molten metal erupted spewing metal. The exact cause is unknown at this point. The 37-year-old woman burned 75 percent of her body in the explosion.

A fellow worker tried to help the woman and also received burns and both women were rushed to the hospital. The 37-year-old women later died of the burns she suffered in the explosion.
