A man from Galveston has filed a $75,000 suit against Valero Halgo Power and Babcock & Wilcox over injuries that he alleges that he sustained after a boiler explosion at a Valero plant.
The man was security guard who was assigned to patrol the premises of Valero’s Texas City plant on Dec. 4, 2009. The complaint says that a large boiler exploded that night and the man claims that he suffered serious, permanent injuries to his body as well as mental injury. The suit was filed on June 7 and the man is seeking monetary damages as well as a jury and trial.
