Authorities investigate residential gas explosion

Posted on June 21st, 2010 No Comments

Authorities are investigating the cause of a home explosion that occurred on June 20 in Concord Township.

The fire chief said that it looked like a gas problem, but it is not known for sure. They are hoping to have a cause by the end of the next day, although a full investigation will take several days. The blast turned a couple’s $460,000 home into a pile of shrapnel.

The family not only lost their house, but many possessions were destroyed in the explosion. Luckily, there was no one home during the explosion. More than a dozen homes were damaged in the explosion.
