One killed, one injured in propane explosion

A 12-year-old boy was killed and his father was seriously injured in a propane explosion after the boy backed a dump truck over the cap of propane tank.

The boy and his father were working on their farm, Cherry Hill Tree Farm in Pennsylvania when the boy accidentally knocked the cap off of the tank causing a spark and an explosion.

The boy was pronounced dead on the scene. The father was then transported to the hospital with severe burns to his skin. Police are continuing to investigate the accident.

Explosions can cause serious injury to anyone in the area. Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victims.
