Posted on August 23rd, 2010 No Comments

An electrical explosion at the SunTrust building in downtown Miami injured two Florida Power & Light employees on Aug. 17.

The workers were working on an electrical panel in a vault when something sparked the electrical explosion. Maintenance workers near by saw the smoke and immediately called fire crews.

One worker suffered burns to his face while the other suffered  burns to his leg and they were both transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital. The explosion caused a power outage and workers were sent home.
